Dubai's Viva magazine has chosen Rozan Ahmed as one of the GCC's most influential women, making what has been a valued and genuine difference in the region's field of public relations.
Encompassing PR consultancy, initiation, special events management and journalism for both the corporate and entertainment industries, Rozan has successfully executed a wide range of programs within her field of expertise, for clients such as Justin Timberlake, Diddy, the United Nations, L'Hotel, Chanel, Adidas, Mouwad, SonyBMG, Red Hot Publishing, The Mobile Spa and much more.
Rozan's many achievements include the UK's first Urban Music Festival (2004). As key advisor for the Princes Trust, the hugely successful event saw artists such as Jay Z, Beyonce, Amy Winehouse and Alicia Keys come together in support of HRH Prince Charles' capacity building organisation.
As deputy editor of RWD magazine, she worked closely with her team in analysing, discovering and propelling British talent (Lemar, Ms. Dynamite, Estelle, Terri Walker, Dizzee Rascal, Sway), using a growing phenomenon in online tools and negotiating corporate relationships to quickly establish the title into what it is today: the UK's biggest urban music & lifestyle publication.
In Africa, she developed a series of successful campaigns surrounding peace culture and was praised by the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS), the GOS (Government of Sudan) and GOSS (Government of Southern Sudan) for orchestrating the country's first celebratory concert highlighting the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. 'I wanted to musically symbolise the union between North and South', said Rozan, 'people often forget just how powerful music can be, particularly when it comes to positive messaging and its delivery to a younger audience'.
She's been hailed as one of the 'hardest working women in show business' (Pride Magazine UK), 'the woman who can' (BBC Radio 1) and in the Middle East, has already racked up a number of impressive projects, fast developing her strong reputation as one of the UK's finest PR gurus, into that of international.
