Emmanuel Jal, the internationally acclaimed recording artist, author, actor and inspiring humanitarian will soon be releasing what has already been dubbed a ''classic anthem'' in raising awareness on global peace.
Out on 13th December 2010, 'We Want Peace'' is part of a world wide campaign calling on young people, regional and international leaders to actively support a peaceful process in Sudan's upcoming referendum, taking place on 9 January 2010. See the pink link for more details.
As Africa's largest country gears up for potential secession, Emmanuel Jal is speaking out, for those in and outside Sudan, calling for peace in the country as well as the rest of the world - for a better world.
The powerfully unique and touching music video was shot primarily on the streets and slums of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi. Cameo appearances of support for Emmanuel’s inspiring message include Peter Gabriel (who is also behind the song's strings), Alicia Keys, Kofi Annan, Jimmy Carter, Richard Branson and more.
Emmanuel Jal invites the world to join him on this remarkable movement of positivity and prosperity, through the power of music.
