Darling, what is that?

News of the daily hip happenings taking place in and around LA's biggest musical weekend continue to reach bougi HQ, in the form of blackberry messages, facebook messages, twitter messages, text messages, emails, bbms...indeed, the list goes on, and on, and on.

Anyhoo, last night Clive Davis hosted his annual pre-Grammy Gala Dinner, and Rihanna (made famous on day of this very dinner last year, thanks to the infamous 'incident' with former boyfriend Chris Brown), turned up in this:

 

I'm left confused from every possible angle of this ensemble...I mean, WHAT is it? We do know that it's a Viktor & Rolf erm, okay ''dress'', from a line the designers call “credit card crunch” couture...but, I'm lost, really.
